Moist and heavy savory muffins

At ToasterBaker, you will find tried and tested baking recipes that are suited for novice like myself, and a household that is equipped with an oven as simple as my toaster version.

At times, you will find original vs modified recipes in order to fulfill my ambition and curiosity in making the result more wholesome.  Many times, these deviations turn out disastrous.  Learn from my mistakes. =)

Anyway, if I can bake, anyone can!

    • Congratulations Elaine! You’re on fast track to good chewy and holey English muffins. Just remember, never use a rolling pin to even out the dough. Stretch it gently by hand. Accept it’s uneven shape and bumpy surface. Protect the air pockets and they’ll give you the nooks and crannies meant to trap your favorite jams, butter, and especially runny yolk and hollandaise sauce! Notice most other English Muffin videos do NOT showcase the parted muffin?
